March Madness!

Sunday was March Madness indeed. We had 68 kids attend our first event of the year. There were thirteen 10-12 year olds attending the first part of our day. The other 55 kids came with the 4-9 group in the second part of the day. We talked about forgiveness with the kids. Reminding them that we are forgiven by Jesus, and that's what he wants us to do. The adults agreed it was great to be back with the kids. The kids energy showed us they were happy to be there too!

Next month we meet Sunday, April 18th at 12pm. All are welcome to join!

After-School Creative Arts

Last Thursday, members of the GCC Creative Arts team came to work with the kids after-school. They played theater games to promote imagination, creativity, comprehension, and fluency. It was entertaining to watch the kindergarten through fourth graders let go of their inhibitions and have a great time. They pretended to walk through popcorn, chanted together, and finished each other's sentences. It was awesome. They will be back next month and we are so glad! Here are some pictures of our fun together.
